SLFSHLY exists as a space for you to be intentional about the way you live your life.
So let’s get into it…what is living SLFSHLY?
I am actually going to start with what SLFSHLY is not. You may hear the word ‘selfish’ and understandably think of its negative connotations. And rightfully so; being legitimately selfish is not our ministry here. Instead, we promote a way of life in which you prioritize self-care as a mechanism to better serve yourself and others. SLFSHLY is a reminder to be self-centered in a healthy way. We fully believe in the “put your oxygen mask on first” mentality (even though we know it is hard)… because how can you show up for others (as your best self) without first prioritizing your own wellness?
As Black Women, we carry so much! In addition to being matriarchs and career-driven, we are also at the forefront of combating injustices against our communities. It’s a lot! And sometimes we lose ourselves in our pursuit of excellence. Living SLFSHLY puts you at the center of things to ensure that your essence is preserved. At SLFSHLY, we are ultimately striving for happiness and satisfaction in life.
